The Checklist on Death

9 March 2011 1,214 views No Comment

For The Last Breath seminar, the one most important thing that blew my mind appeared almost right at the beginning. It was the Checklist on Death. At first glance, the questions seemed easy enough to answer. However, as Shaykh Waleed went over the questions with us, explaining them and adding the necessary understanding of its importance, I was amazed at how heavy each question began to weigh in my mind. This questionnaire forced me to seriously analyze my relationship and experience with this world and the kind of experience I hope to have in the Hereafter. It made me doubt the value of the questions I answered so easily with the lack of knowledge I had before the seminar was over. After all that I learned in the seminar, I was able to return to the checklist and answer all the questions honestly and confidently, taking my time to make myself aware of how I want to improve on the life that Allah has blessed me with. This Checklist is an important reminder on how to live life to the fullest (obediently to Allah) so that I can reap the benefits in this life, and in death.
