Fiqh of Worship III: How “Are You Ready to Die?” Affected Me

9 March 2011 1,050 views No Comment

In my life I have attended many Islamic gatherings to get knowledge, but I can’t compare any of the gatherings with AlMaghrib seminars. The Last Breath: Fiqh of Worship III (Death & Inheritance) was my second seminar with AlMaghrib. This is one of the seminars that helped me to take my religion more seriously than ever before. Now I know more about death and my responsibilities in the society and in my family as an individual.  One of the memorable parts in this seminar was the questionnaire form that contains many questions regarding my preparation before death. In other words, the question was that “are you ready to die?” That question struck me so hard that I now try to remember Allah every moment of my life whatever I do.

Regarding Shaykh Waleed, he made the class very enjoyable by sharing his personal experiences and journeys. In addition to that, I remember that Prophet Muhammad (sws) said that “None of you [truly] believe until he loves for his bother that which he loves for himself.” (Bukhari bk. 2 Hadith #12) Therefore, I am encouraging my friends and family members to attend future AlMaghrib seminars to get knowledge and be better Muslims.
